Cleveland

One of the best things about the Georgia mountains is the year-round natural beauty of the landscape. There are many charming small towns to explore, but sometimes you want to enjoy nature from somewhere more remote.

Fortunately, the restaurant at Turner’s Corner is back and better than ever! Located on the Chestatee River at the intersections of Highway 19 and Highway 129, Riverside Tavern at Turner’s Corner is about a 15 minute drive from Cleveland (or about 20 minutes from Dahlonega).

Recent upgrades to the 1928 building mean there are more spaces to enjoy the peaceful pace of the Chestatee River. You can enjoy a meal inside the cabin, or outside on the upstairs deck with views of the river. Additionally, you can get a bit closer to the river and walk downstairs to the covered screened-in deck for a drink before or after your meal.

The food includes southern favorites including starters, sandwiches, BBQ, and breakfast (see menu). A full bar (including draft beer) is available for adults (21+), but be sure to have a designated driver (all nearby roads are very curvy 2-lane roads).

A general store also sells local goods including apparel, food items, and gifts.
