Whether you enjoy finding a boutique hotel or earning points with stays at national chains, there are a wide variety of hotel and motel options in the Georgia Mountains. Try a stay in the small mountain town of Dahlonega at the Park Place Hotel — it’s balconies and proximity to the town square makes it a fun place for a lively getaway.

Be sure to book early for holiday weekends and the peak fall / autumn season as many of these hotels will sell all of their rooms months in advance.

Online Travel Agencies (Car, Hotel, Airfare, Packages, & More)
These websites can also be helpful as they can search the inventory of ALL the hotels in an area (instead of just a single hotel group).
However, keep in mind that if you do choose to book a room at these sites, you may not qualify to earn points with the hotel’s loyalty program. Make sure to check on whether or not you are booking a “qualifying night” in order to be able to earn points / take advantage of loyalty status.
Enjoy your stay!
When I travel, I generally stay at hotels that are part of a large chain. I then know what to expect and what I will be getting. However, after checking out your list of hotels and motels in the Georgia Mountains, I am a bit intrigued. I wonder what it would be like to stay in one of the smaller hotels that are filled with history. Imagine the many types of people that stayed there at one time!
It is definitely nice to try something different when you get the opportunity.
Some of my family members recently stayed at the Park Place Inn on the Dahlonega Square. The accomodations were comfortable and the staff went out of their way to make sure they had a great anniversary stay. I was able to visit their room and was impressed with the location near the town and the nice touches in the room… like a Nespresso machine for a tasty cup of coffee in the morning!
