I really like some of the things you have put up on the site here. The schoolhouse is something I would definitely rent out! So much history in that I believe and the fact I can bring my animal helps a lot too!
Hi Jessie, Best of luck to you as you visit each state! I was able to see my 50th state (Alaska) about 5 years ago and I can definitely recommend the journey as a worthwhile life goal.

Hello Alyce, what a lovely article. These places and all the historic vacations rentals in North Georgia are beautiful to visit and spend some time over there. My favourite from this list is Yellow cottage. It seems a lively place to stay and enjoy the rest. I don’t smoke and have pets, so for me, it is not a problem that in this cottage smoking, pets, and events no permitted

I have only been to Georgia once several years ago to attend a company function. I would love to go again once international travel resumes. These places are absolutely beautiful. For me, the smaller private cabins are more appealing. I would love to know more about activities, tours, museums in the area. I don’t like to be bored and shopping is not my thing so any info would be awesome. I love being in nature so hiking trails are always fun. The countryside looks pretty much the same as in Canada but sunnier than is usual for our province of New Brunswick. What is the local food like? I mean are there particular dishes I may not have tried before? Hopefully, travel will resume soon so I can visit.
Hi Rick, There are lots of great activities of all types in the area. There are permanent museums, exhibits, and ongoing local events held throughout the year. You’ll find plenty of fun things to do!
For food, the South prides itself on its barbecue, so be sure to try a local BBQ place near where you stay.
Things definitely look a bit different this year due to COVID, but hopefully, everything can be fully opened soon!

I love historical places, and these cabins are really nice. I’m only 5,000 miles away in the Philippines. If I ever vacation again in the US, I’ll be sure to come to Georgia. I’ve been living in other countries for five years now and love it.
The 1929 Caboose looks like a fantastic place to stay. I would love that. Hopefully, there’s a place to fish nearby. There’s not much fishing going on in other countries like the US.

Oh wow. I really do miss vacations. I always travel for vacation with my family at least once a year. In good years we do travel twice if not three times. Our last vacation travel was in December 2019. We had planned to travel mid year 2020 but we could not because of the Covid-19 pandemic. I believe once the disease burden has gone down, my holiday vacation should be in North Georgia mountains. The place look great and the historic cabins are a wow. My personal preference should be the Barn at Lake Rabun. My family would love it

I really liked the cabins over there at Clayton. And it would be exciting to stay in one of those over 100 years old. I have always felt this quaint mountain community has been very fortunate. I would also like to mention how nice their upscale clothing, home décor and accessory shops are.
