So what exactly is flyboarding? It’s a relatively new activity, having only been invented in 2012. They have been loosely defined as “snowboards with pressurized streams of water that propel them into the air”, but basically, it’s a cool way for an individual person to be propelled through and over the water!
It’s not quite the jetpacks we were all hoping for in 2019, but it may be the closest thing available!

If you’re giving wakeboarding a try, the set-up includes a system in which participants are pulled 500 feet down the lake while holding onto a handle connected to a cable 20 feet off the water.
Anyone new to the sport should consider taking a lesson in order to get the most out of this experience. Mountain Wake’s coaches stand on paddleboards to stay close to riders to allow beginners each access to their coach to ask. The staff also teaches people how to soar above the water or dive in and out of the waves like a dolphin during flyboard lessons.
You will definitely get wet during this activity, but believe it or not, knowing how to swim is not required! Most people in relatively good shape will master the flyboarding technique within a few minutes. Staff keeps a close eye on you to monitor your progress and help to keep you safe.
