Wow, such an interesting collection that you have shared. I love treehouses so much, but did not realize that there were so many that could be rented for vacations. It is a nice idea to bring a piece of nature indoors and would be a great opportunity to experience this along with the mild climate in north Georgia.

River pine tree house near Tallulah falls is the best choice for me. When I was reading the details I liked the location and the second item which I like is the stunning views. Thanks; so much for sharing this post with us.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Liam! Some of my friends stayed in that treehouse last year with their teenagers and reported back on how much they loved the tree house and the location. Staying in a treehouse is definitely a unique vacation experience – I hope you enjoy your trip!!

  2. Kokontala says:

Greetings! Travelling for fun and leisure is amazing, especially if it’s so unique, beautiful places. I have never been to North Georgia before but from what I have read and seen in the pictures you provided, it is so eye-catching. The beauty and uniqueness of wooded mountain locations, just awesome. I am really looking forward to travelling to a luxury treehouse in North Georgia!

    • Alyce says:

Hello, These mountain treehouse rentals are a fun place to stay without having to give up any of the comforts of home.

  3. Nina says:

In a comment in a previous article, I mentioned that it would be a wonderful experience for a family to spend a few days in a treehouse near Lake Burton, and now I have found this article with a presentation of various treehouses in the North Georgia mountains! And this in a modern luxury treehouse with a fantastic offer like hot tubs and gourmet kitchens!
I used to watch one show where a man and his team built treehouses for families, and since then I have a desire to spend some fantastic vacation in one such treehouse in beautiful nature. Thanks to the presentation of these modern and luxurious options in the North Giorgia mountains, it would be a really fabulous experience for the family.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Nina, These luxury treehouses offer a great way to feel like a kid in a fun house in the trees, but the modern comforts make sure that even the most pampered adults are able to sleep comfortably. Have fun!

  4. Fatoumata says:

Wow these are really nice treehouses, and they come with soo many features. They will make a perfect destination for those who are looking to get a way.

Newly married couples or families. I never thought of treehouses to have soo many things. When someone mentions a treehouse I always think about the ones I see on YouTube.

I have never been in one, and would love to visit one day. What’s the difference between a tree house hotel and a normal one? Thanks for sharing.

    • Alyce says:

      Hi Fatoumata,

These treehouse rentals are considered “vacation rentals by owner” so the experience can be very different from a standard hotel room. Behind the scenes, these rentals are subject to a different set of laws, so there might be longer stays required in a rental versus a single night in a hotel. However, the experience you get is a one-of-a-kind stay in a place that may have unique amenities like locations next to a vineyard or a waterfall, large spaces big enough for a whole family, outdoor grills and firepits, and much more!

  5. Ann says:

For many, owning a tree house was a childhood dream. I mean, who didn’t think of having a special place to play and have unique adventures when being a kid? However, the experience of sleeping and spending a few days in a cozy house suspended above lush trees is still a tempting idea in adult life. I’d love to book a couple of days in one of these tree houses. The Ravine treehouse grabbed my attention.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Ann, I was definitely one of those kids who always wanted a treehouse. I love how Inn the Ravine is so perfectly nested among the trees for an effective immersion in the woods!

  6. simplecapoeira says:

Wow, these are amazing. I always had a dream to spend my vacation time in a treehouse, well actually living in a treehouse, but those aren’t a thing where I live. Most of the tourist spots or vacation spots where I am are hotels or Airbnb and they are just concrete and steel. I have been searching for this kind of experience as an islander. Thank you so much for sharing this I will defiantly take my family here.

    • Alyce says:

As a kid, I definitely wanted a treehouse of my own. However, I think these modern treehouses offer a much more comfortable option than what I had dreamed of as a kid.

I’m so glad you found some fun treehouses where your family can stay in the Georgia mountains!

  7. Bernard Breytenbach says:

Now these treehouse rentals is like going for a nature adventure. Love how each treehouse is designed. Plus of course the treehouse have wonderful views of the nature. How is the animal life around it? Is the treehouses very secure and safe? Safety is always a concern. Thank you for the great informative post!

    • Alyce says:

Hi Bernard, These rental treehouses have all the modern conveniences while still allowing you to escape into nature. You should feel very safe and secure inside them.

There are lots of native animals in North Georgia, and you are likely to see deer, squirrels, turkeys, songbirds, and more!

  11. Sonia says:

Wow! I had no idea that you could rent a treehouse. This is awesome! I like the idea of renting a treehouse better than a traditional cabin for a vacation.

These treehouses are a far cry from the treehouse my brothers and I built in our backyard back in the day for sure!

My favorite one is the Inn Ravine treehouse. Simply breathtaking. Since I don’t like the beach much and prefer hiking and nature, this is perfect for my next vacation.

Do you offer package deals for people looking to book a treehouse, let say for one week?

  12. ChrisQueen says:

Only in the South would we find something this fun.  I remember the Swiss Family Robinson tree house and always wanted one.  I was, as a kid in Louisiana a tree house building fool with all the construction scrap piles in the new subdivision we lived in smack dab in the middle of the marshy woods.

I think you site is one of the most interesting I have seen.  Drive in movies and tree houses for big people.  Thank you for the fun ideas.  I have left my info to receive your updates.  So what you are doing is working.

I think your niche is imaginative and the posts I have enjoyed.  Thank you.  Chris.

  13. Chris Queen says:

How much fun can we have. I’m going for the luxury. I built several rustic ones as a kid in Louisiana. This is a very fun post. Thank you. Chris.

  14. hillarydandy says:

Wow! interesting article, I had no idea incredible tree houses like this exist. It has been my childhood dream to stay in a beautifully designed  tree house  unfortunately, I had troubles building one. Thanks for showing me that my childhood dreams can still come true at such an affordable price.

I sure will recommend this article to friends and family members who may be looking for amazing places to go for a vacation this summer.

    • Alyce says:

Hello! I also have dreams of someday building one of these sweet luxury treehouses on my own property. Until I make the commitment to building my own treehouse, it’s great to know that these sweet vacation properties are available!

  15. Leahrae says:

All I can say is wow.  This is the perfect vacation during this pandemic we have.  I am sure they clean properly after each guest visit right?  I do believe I would enjoy spending a week at one of these and then a week on a lake boat.  How fun and relaxing.  Which places would be closest to the Florida boarder?  I would want to drive, so I am hoping to keep the drive time down.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Leahrae, These rental properties definitely clean thoroughly between each rental, and some of them have even enhanced cleaning protocols due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

These treehouse and lakefront rentals would probably be all within an hour’s drive of each other, and about a 5-hour to 6-hour drive from the Georgia / Florida border at Interstate 75.

The luxe treehouses look like they are all about the same distance to Florida (depending on your route), but the Rushing Waters Treehouse Cabin looks slightly more Southern than the other Luxe Treehouses.

Lake Burton is the southernmost lake, so that may have the closest lakefront rental with boat.

Hope this helps you to plan an awesome lake trip and treehouse adventure! Enjoy!!

  16. Iheanacho David says:

Luxe Treehouse Rentals! Sounds amazing I could bring my twin nephews here for fun! Queations though. Is it kid-friendly? They’re both six and I tend to worry about their safety a whole lot. Besides the cost is really affordable and within reasonable limit. And the pictures lovely! Inn the Ravine Treehouse is the perfect spot! Well done!

    • Alyce says:

Spending the night in a treehouse is a great activity to do with kids included!

Some of the sleeping areas may be accessible by ladder only (or bunkbeds), which could be a concern around really small children. Take a good look at the photos of each treehouse you’re considering to make sure that it looks like it will have the right layout for your family. Enjoy!

  17. Myra D. says:

    Hell there,

I love the content on your page. The information on your website was very informative and insightful.

I mean, the thing about the treehouse is that you get to have some space or all of the space to yourself. The treehouse reminds me of the from the show called  “Arthur” in which I used to watch as a kid. I loved the pictures that you resented on your site, it looks ravishing.

    I

    Keep up the great work.

  18. Claudio says:

    Hello!
Beautiful luxe treehouses to rental especially for nature lovers. If there is something that fascinates me they are the forests in the mountains with the possibility of being able to fish in their streams.
Here in Argentina, such houses are not built among trees. We plan to take a vacation soon with my wife. I will show you your site any questions or help I will contact again.

    Thank you!

    • Alyce says:

Treehouses are usually much smaller kid-sized play houses in the US, but these builders have put their fun spin on a throwback to childhood. Definitely a unique experience and a good way to enjoy nature close up!

  19. Myra D says:

    Oh my goodness!

The treehouse is amazing and the pictures of the inside are so beautiful.
When I was a kid, I’ve always wanted the treehouse to myself so I can study alone where it’s peace and quiet. Or, I could invite some of my friends r a group study session, kind of like on the show I used to watch as a kid called, “Arthur” which used to air all of the time everyday on PBS and PBS kids.

    It’s amazing.

  20. Gihan Akalanka says:

    WOW, great article,

Spend a night inside treehouse is a different kind of experience. also, it will be an unforgettable experience. those houses have all kinds of features like wifi, TV microwave special in blue ridge treehouse have outdoor BBQ spot. That is a great deal. Those prices are reasonable and it good value to get an awesome experience.

I love to read stuff like this. Thank you for sharing the valuable details. Keep it up!!!

  21. Wilson says:

Wow I didn’t even know that these were a thing! These look like the perfect fall weekend vacation spot!
There also only about three hours from me! I def will be considering these spots when I start planning a family vacation!

Gatlinburg is the usual spot that I take the family to, but I think that this would be a nice change!

Could you add links to attractions around the locations? That would be very helpful for when I’m deciding which I would like to choose!

  22. Danijel says:

Hello Alyce, I must say that this article is very helpful and informative. I have been to Georgia a few times but never had a chance to stay in these beautiful treehouses. What I like the most is that it is not expensive compared to the beauty you get. Definitely worth the price, If I am lucky I will go with my family nex year.

  23. Wilson says:

Wow I didn’t even know that these were a thing! That’s so cool. These look like the perfect fall weekend vacation spot!

There also only about three hours from me! I def will be considering these spots when I start planning a family vacation!

Could you add links to attractions around the locations? That would be very helpful for when I’m deciding which I would like to choose!

    • Alyce says:

Hi Wilson, These will definitely make for a more memorable vacation! Thanks for the suggestion about nearby attractions – I appreciate the feedback!!

  24. Feochadan says:

This takes me back to my childhood when I always wanted a tree house – but this takes it a whole new level!  Imagine a tree house in wine tasting country and a view of a beautiful river!  I would like to see ANY hotel compete with that!

The prices are totally comparable to the usual “box” that one stays in at a normal hotel but the privacy and amenities are out of this world.  Whoever thought of doing this is a genius!  Next time I am in GA I will most definitely be looking one of these places up.

Once of the best vacations I can remember was a cabin on the water where you could go fishing and cook your own meal.  This takes it to a completely new level!

    • Alyce says:

I completely agree. We’ve all stayed at a perfectly nice chain hotel, but they usually aren’t that memorable. These luxury treehouse options allow you to experience something truly unique and special, and form wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

  25. Tom says:

    Hi Alyce,

These places look great! I would love to stay in one of these. This is a new one on me and I’m amazed how big they are and the facilities they have. They are obviously nothing like the tree houses I used to make out of old bits of wardrobe and rope! Are there any of these tree houses in California?

    • Alyce says:

Hi Tom, I haven’t actually looked into treehouse options in California, but if that is where your next adverture awaits, then I recommend that you look on VRBO and TripAdvisor for luxury treehouse options in that area.

  26. Twack Romero says:

What is it about treehouses that make them so alluring I wonder.  With the standards of accommodation  so high these days, throwing in the uniqueness of living in a treehouse is compelling. It does make me think back to my childhood, there is something intrinsically ‘adventurous about being so close to nature. I was grinning as I read through the article The riverside locations only add to the attraction, those sounds all through the night, hypnotic, I’m sure. All the comforts of home, perched eighty foot above a roaring river, outstanding. Considering what you would pay for a hotel room with the same facilities and amenities, the price is very competitive.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Twack, I certainly agree. These places look so comfortable and very inviting! Thanks for sharing!

      Warm Regards, Alyce

  27. Ronald Otochi says:

The picture used in the article are amazing. I was looking fora secluded place to visit with my girl friend & I think I just found the place. I’ll have to ask my first, but I don’t see why she would say no. Nice article & nice use of pictures.

Are the prices the same per night no matter how many rooms I get?

    • Alyce says:

Hi Ronald, these do seem perfect for romantic getaways! Most of these are owned by individuals (instead of big hotel chains), so you may be able to negotiate for a better rate if you book multiple rooms. Remember to book well in advance for stays during the peak fall foliage season!!

      Warm Regards, Alyce

  28. Karly Knott says:

This is such a good idea! I had no clue that you could advertise for hotels on here as well!

I like the option to look for nudist resorts as well hahah!

I think the information on your website is very detailed and I like the set up of it as well. If I am ever in GA I know where to look to stay!

    • Alyce says:

Hi Karly, the Georgia mountains definitely have lots of unique places to stay!

      Warm Regards, Alyce

  29. Michel says:

I just love these treehouses and haven’t seen anything quite like this before. This will be the ideal place for that next hiking holiday with an added touch of luxury. They are spacious for the entire family, yet look so cosy tucked away in the trees.

Do you know how high these houses are from the ground? My husband has a slight fear of heights, so if it doesn’t look to high, I might just be able to convince him to join me. The River Pine’s one looks pretty grounded.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Michel, The Blue Ridge Treehouse is probably the closest one to the ground, as treehouses are kind of known for being up in the trees. This particular treehouse is also located next to a vineyard, so maybe he would be more open to the idea after a glass of wine. 😉

      Warm Regards, Alyce

  30. Harry says:

I think I had visited an article of yours a couple of days ago about Georgia Vineyards and wineries and I asked you if there are any places to stay there if needed…

Thanks a lot for your reply as well as about putting together an entire article about rentals… I am going to consult my wife and see where we’ll stay!

    • Alyce says:

Hi Harry, I hope you are your wife are able to find the perfect spot to stay. There are so many unique options that you can be sure have a very memorable trip!

      Warm Regards, Alyce

  31. Emmanuel Buysse says:

These tree houses looks amazing, really. They’re so cosy, and you’re one with the nature. I’ve always wanted to stay in one of these for a couple of nights, and seeing the price, it isn’t so expensive. I will show this to my wife, hope she has the same thoughts about it as I have!

    • Alyce says:

Hi Emmanuel, these treehouses do seem to have it all — modern amenities while surrounded by nature. It’s great to have a few options to enjoy the area in such a unique way!

      Warm Regards, Alyce

  32. Aaron says:

Hey Alyce, I really enjoyed reading your post. these houses look like my dreams come true they are so extraordinary. I always wanted a house like that since I was a little kid. They don’t even cost that much, to be honest, and I got to admit I don’t know who would be more into staying in those houses, my kids or me. Probably both 😀 They are just so beautiful

    • Alyce says:

Hi Aaron, these are definitely some swanky treehouses and provide a great setting for making family memories. Hope you and your family get a chance to check them out!

      Regards, Alyce
