What are your favorites and experiences with these zipline canopy tours? Are you ready for adventure through the treetops??
This looks like a fabulous vacation. Lots of fun and a new adventure in the Georgia Mountains.
The sights of the mountains being from an exhilarating viewpoint of the ziplines must be great and it sure would be an experience to remember. The price seems reasonable, the ziplines look quite lengthy and so long as health and safety procedure is followed this looks to be a great trip to take.
Hi Mike, These North Georgia ziplines offer a great way to have family fun with a unique mountain experience! Enjoy!
This is amazing. Adventure just would like to be there and imagine the unique relaxation that nature offers
This is a very amazing post you have written here. I really like that kids can also have their own. To be very honest, I’m not sure I’m ready for the adventure but since I’m here already, I think I should get brave and take a zip. I wouldn’t try one over the lake though. Thanks a lot for the valuable info.
Haha, I do think it takes a special level of thrillseeking to want to zip over a lake! Fortunately, there are plenty of non-lake options for ziplining too!!
This is awesome! I never thought about zip lining before, and I have lived in Georgia my entire life. The most interesting one for me is the Amicalola Zip line. Only because they provide free pictures of your adventure when you send them your email. Other than that, North Georgia Canopy Tours seems like the best bang for your buck. 3 hours of fun that can’t be matched when you are doing nature walks, zip lining over sky bridges, rivers, and rappelling. And it’s all for only 89 dollars! Thanks for this awesome post. Zip lining is definitely on my wish list. Thanks again!
There is definitely a lot of fun to find in the Georgia mountains! You have picked some of the most thrilling activities and I wish you a very fun trip!!
Such and interesting website. I really like the idea but had a few questions. How long does a zipline ride take (typically)? Also, Are there weight requirements for larger adults? I have never been to Georgia or ziplining. It does look fun. Great area coverage of different places you can go. What a great idea. All the Best, Krista
Hi Krista, The length of a zipline ride will depend on the length of the cable and a bit on the user… there are a few little adjustments that your guide will point out to help you go faster or slower (depending on your preference). There are weight restrictions that will be specific to each location, but most of the limits seem to top out at around 250 pounds.
Wow, what a beautiful place to spend ones vacation with his family. I love the view of the Unicoi state park, its a very beautiful sight and I’d love to have the experience of it. Later this year I’d love to visit the Georgia mountain. And thanks for the advice on the kind of clothing to bring along when coming for tour.
Hi Dane, you’re most welcome for the sneak peeks and the clothing advice for having a great zipline adventure and trip to the Georgia mountains!
Since I and my family would be going on an adventure very soon because of our vacation. I think its high time to get ziplining off my bucket list and what better place to do that than to explore the home of my wife, Georgia. I have heard a lot concerning the great ziplining canopy tours in the country and I’m definitely going to book one for my family and I. Thanks
I hope you and your wife have a great time exploring Georgia and all the fun things to do and see!
This is amazing! I never would’ve thought that children as young as 4 could have their own Kidzip. What fun! And what a brilliant idea. I certainly never experienced anything like it when I was that young. The only exciting thing I did was when I went to a museum when I was already in school. lol
This will definitely be an experience we’ll be putting in our bucket list. By the way, do you know if any adult goes with the young child? Or do they have to go solo? Just in case my little daredevil gets too scared on the way down (unlikely but you never know).
There is a requirement for the youngest kids to have an adult chaperone nearby for the KidZip, but it does sound like it’s a great opportunity for smaller kids to get it on the ziplining fun!
I have always wanted to zipline. As a matter of fact, it’s one of the items on my bucket list. North Georgia seems like a great place to come and do it. As we are planning a trip next year, maybe that’s where will be headed. I and my two daughters are the adventurous ones in our family, we do the risk-taking things that others in my family are wary of. I can’t wait to get over there and start ziplining
Hi Jagi, That is wonderful to hear! You’ll find a great ziplining option no matter what part of North Georgia you decide to visit… and maybe even a place on site if you decide to stay at Unicoi or Amicalola Falls State Parks! Enjoy your trip!!
I’ve only tried a zipline once but I was quite nervous – the actual thrill is exciting though, zipping through the wind and trees without a care in the world, although the process of getting all the way up to the initial launch station can be nerve-wrecking, haha.
These photos and sites you’ve posted really seem like a must-go-to experience for the thrill enthusiast. And it’s nice to know there’re lost of them all throughout georgia.
Hi Mike, I tend to agree with you… the fun of riding on the zipline is such a great adrenaline rush that there is no room for being anything but thrilled. I have been to zipline tours in other parts of Georgia where I was a tad nervous as I climbed up to the launch point… but I’m happy to report that the anxiety was totally worth it and 10 / 10 will do it again!! 🙂
