Wow. thank you for this review. It has been ages since i have been to a drive-in theatre and your descriptions bring back my younger days of outings with friends and family, when the kids were small. On reading through the regular and the new features, I can see that I need to pay a visit. With all the rules on crowds it would be an enjoyable outing for all of us. Thanks for the information.

Thanks for sharing all the drive in theater spots! I guess we have to thank the covid-19 a bit for making the drive in theater a come back, to be honest I love going to the drive in theater when I was younger, I had the best time with my family and friends.

Tiger drive in seems like a fun place to be, I love the fact that you can camp on site as well, that is fun. Thanks again for the info and stay safe.

Hi Nuttanee, I definitely feel like my times at the drive-in were a little bit extra fun when compared to regular movie theaters. There’s just something so welcoming about the fun spirit, fresh air, and reasonable cost that makes it a great choice.

It it definitely nice to see that there are still people enjoying the unique experience of watching a film at a drive-in movie theater!

Well seeing a movie is  a good way to unwind after a hard days work and with this corona virus pandemic still very much around a drive in cinema is the best way to observe social distancing. I like the way this whole thing sounds. Georgia is a beautiful place and a drive in cinema on the mountains is not a bad idea at all. Thanks for this very wonderful article review.

Drive-in theaters are a special treat and likely the safest way to see a movie while practicing the recommended current social distancing protocols. I hope you and your family have a great time at the drive-in!

Hello dear and thanks for sharing the helpful information. This pretty much answers all of the questions that I’ve had about visiting the drive-in theaters. Seems like a great outing to cap a fun day in the Georgia mountains. It’s very helpful to know how busy the drive-ins have been lately. I would not have dreamed that we’d need to arrive so early to secure a space, so this was very helpful to know. I appreciate the top notch content (I already saved the site / page to come back for reference).

With the reduced capacity at the drive-in theaters combined with the closure of other options, the drive-ins have been a very popular choice. It’s a unique experience and as long as you are prepared to hang out at the theater while you wait for the movie to start, you’re certain to have a great time!

Wow, it is certainly a long time since I visited a drive-in theater. I remember doing it often while growing up, but sadly there are very few of these left in South Africa, as most of them have closed down.

I will definitely make a plan to visit one again when I visit the US which will hopefully be in the next two years. I think it must be difficult to compete for these theaters, so the public needs to support them if they don’t want to lose them. What do you think a theater could do that is different to keep customers coming back for more?

    • Alyce says:

Hi Michel, Hmm, what could a theater do that is unique?? The drive-in experience is already a little more intense than a standard theater, but it’s smart for them to still work on staying innovative. It’s not uncommon for people to dress up as characters from the movie or deck themselves out with dazzling glow sticks. This often happens organically at a drive-in, but might be even more fun if a dress-up event was promoted by the theater too!
