    I really like the hilly part of North Georgia, the nature is beautiful. But I didn’t know that there are also so many offers and opportunities to play golf in this area. Thank you for presenting all these golf clubs with fantastic golf courses. For golf fans and players, this article with all the current information is very valuable.     Those golf courses look amazing wow! Especially the one Rabun Country Golf Club, I could imagine being there already with lush greenery and serene ambiance. I reckon I’d just take my time there and admire the beauty of the place, especially with that unlimited tee time. How long would you think it’ll take to finish this course?

      Hi Riaz, when the weather is as nice and beautiful as it is right now (autumn colors are almost at their peak), I’d expect play to last just a little bit longer… It’s just so lovely and ideal that it beckons a person to linger outside to take in the scenery and the scent of fall in the air. 🙂 

      It’s hard to say how long this public 9-hole course would take you personally but it should be right about average — the actual time it takes to complete the full 9 would depend on the size of your group and the skill level of players.

    From my online findings on the topic golf courses north georgia mountain is the beauty and vistas of North Georgia’s several golf courses. Nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains the mountain views are endless and awe inspiring. I will mention few out of the courses Butternut Creek Golf Course, Butternut Creek Golf Course, Indian Trace Golf Course, Chestatee Golf Course, Indian Trace Golf Course, Whitepath Golf Course, Spring Lakes Golf Course.

    I live in an area (Nova Scotia, Canada) with a number of very good golf courses. However, the golfing season usually starts sometime in April and closes toward the end of October. This leaves a huge playing gap for a golf aficionado. Rather than spending a southern retreat on the beaches of Florida, the Georgia Mountains sounds like a great alternative destination for the winter-weary snowbird. Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa jumped out at me because of the additional features such as a pool and hiking trails. It seems not every golf enthusiast travels with another golf enthusiast! Thanks for the great list and information. This makes planning for a future golfing adventure that much easier.

      Hi Mike, A trip to the Georgia mountains in winter is definitely going to be a different experience than the typical crowded Florida winters! Brasstown Valley Resort is an excellent choice to visit!!

    Thank you for your post. It is nice to see there are so many beautiful golf sites in Georgia Mountains. Unfortunately, I live in New York. It is too far for me to play golf there. I play golf during the summer time, never play in the winter due to the cold weather in Northeast.

    Now I have one alternative that is to play golf in Gorgia in the winter. I have several friends who live in Georgia and asked me if I want to play golf there. Winter break this year can be a good time to go. I bookmarked your webpage and will review the golf location in detail. I am going to plan a winter vacation in Georgia.

    It is kind of you sharing such wonderful resources with you.

      Hi Anthony, It is nice to be able to enjoy outdoor activities all year round in Georgia. The mountains do occasionally get some serious winter weather, but generally speaking it’s a very nice time to visit as it’s the least crowded time of year.

    Hello, 

    Thanks for sharing information on all these courses in GA. I had the opportunity to attend Paine College in Augusta,  GA. so the only course I really am familiar with tis the 1st Tee in Augusta. I had no idea GA had so many options for playing golf, bbut you have provided an extensive list here. What would you say is the best course for brand new golfers looking to learn the game and improve their skills? I’m curious if the 1st Tee didn’t make it to the list due to the location, thanks again for the infomrtaion you provided here. Great job!

      Hi Jefrey, Augusta is definitely known as a golfers dream destination, even if most people can’t play at the Augusta National (where the Masters Tournament is held). Those are not on the list because Augusta isn’t in the mountains.

      I’d reommend one of the resort courses for anyone who would like some guidance to improve their game. These courses will have lessons / golf pros available to provide helpful pointers on your form and tips to help navigate the course.

    Thanks for sharing this info about Apple Golf Club, Barnsley Resort. Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa architecture and design is great. The environment is condusive for learning . I will like to learn golf and out of link golf courses, parkland and desert golf courses. Which of this will you recommend for me and how can I learn, I also need tips to start so that I will not be discourage.

      Each of these courses will be a nice outing, so you may want to choose one that is close to where you will be staying. Most of the resort courses have a golf pro on site so that you’d be able to sign up for lessons and stay encouraged while you learn. 

      I’m not sure how these golf courses in the Georgia mountains would compare to desert golf courses, as that is not something that you will find in the Georgia Mountains.

    I will be visiting that area to talk with an angel investor who’s willing to help me fund our bamboo furniture making business here in the Philippines. The investor has mentioned one of the golf courses so I am pretty much excited and he mentioned that I will enjoy it there because the climate in Georgia is warm this August, something I used to. This is really exciting because, aside from I will be getting the solutions that I need for growing my furniture export business, I will again be able to play golf after almost a decade.

    The locations you’ve listed here sound like they are located in stunning areas. For anyone who is a golf fanatic, this list would make an awesome resource to have to create a golfing holiday where you go from one golf course, spend a couple of days in that area, then head to the next location for the next gold course and do some more exploring.  It’s a great way to explore the countryside and towns throughout Georgia Mountains.
