Pumpkins should get more credit as they are mainly associated to Halloween and maybe pumpkin pie on a global level . However on reading this , it is inspiring just to see how versatile a pumpkin is . It seems like a great day out and a brilliant way to switch off from our stressful lives .

What a cute idea. We don’t have anything like that around here, although I know there are farmers that do farm pumpkins. the closest thing we have to this is a strawberry farm which we love visiting once a year.
This is also a great idea for these farms to make an extra income, simply by opening it up to the public. City folk love an excursion to the country to try something different, and it’s a fun way to educate the kids at the same time.

Hi Dave, I do like to decorate each fall with a couple of big orange pumpkins and some pretty, bright mums. Last year we didn’t carve them up into jack-o-lanterns, but the research for the article about local pumpkin patches has made me want to get creative with the family again this year. I definitely recommend stopping into a North Ga pumpkin patch and supporting the farmers while picking out pumpkins!

Cool info about the pumpkin patches. The Red Apple Barn is a personal favorite, but I have to be honest it’s the only one I’ve been to. I’m from Saskatchewan, Canada. But, am hoping to make a visit in the state of Georgia in hopes the COVID situation finally calms down and people are free to travel again. I really enjoy road trips and am aching to do a really good one again as it’s now been over 3 years for me.
