The Kerith House Wine Tasting Experience 🌿

Your visit to Kerith House begins with a drive through winding rural roads that open up to carefully designed surroundings. Parking is available in a gravel lot with a short walk uphill to the tasting room. From there, a handwritten sign points guests around the building and towards the wine tasting room.

Inside, the tasting room pairs classic touches with thoughtful modern finishes. Rich dark blue walls, polished wood floors, a marble-topped bar, and soft gold accents create a warm and cohesive space. Tufted bench seating and fresh flowers at the tables add comfort and character. Stone walls and accents anchor the design, tying together the indoor and outdoor seating areas.

There’s a blend of seating options throughout, including an upstairs lounge area and a patio with expansive views overlooking the property. Outdoor areas are dog-friendly for leashed pets, making this an excellent stop for travelers with four-legged companions. The overall vibe is friendly and relaxed—ideal for lingering with a glass in hand.

The best way to learn about the wines is to sample them. Start with a customizable Tasting Flight of 4 wines for $18, which includes a 2-ounce pour of each selection.

Wines are delivered in small, labeled carafes tucked into a lantern-style tray, accompanied by a stemmed glass, a pack of oyster crackers, tasting notes, and space to write your observations. Kerith House souvenir wine glasses are also available for purchase. Once you’ve found your favorite wines, order them by the glass ($8+) or bottle ($21+) and enjoy them at the winery or take bottles home for your collection.

The Merlot stood out enough to bring a bottle home, and it held up beautifully for a second tasting. For those curious about Georgia muscadine wines, the selections offered by Paulk Vineyards have a nostalgic, juice-like sweetness that’s fun, but be aware that they pack a punch despite the playful flavor.

🕰️ The tasting room, Kerith House Cellars, is now open Thursday through Sunday.
