    Hi Alyce
Thanks for sharing your views on the Lake house rentals on lake Burton . I like the renovated luxury retreat and it was awesome .Enjoying a long holiday on a lake side rental property has always been my dream and your blog give further wings to it. Your efforts to bring all the eye-catching Lake houses in a single post is commendable.

Hi Gaurav, That is a beautiful lakehouse and would make the perfect place for a luxury vacation on Lake Burton! Enjoy!!

Hey, thanks for the great article – me and my family are considering going together for something like this as opposed to the house boats we have rented the last couple years. A lot of beautiful places you have featured here, and none of them seem crazy expensive. However, I noticed that none of them allow any events – are you aware of any alternatives that do allow events?

    • Alyce says:

Hello, it is important to note what is allowed at each of the rentals. These particular lakehouse rentals are in residential areas that have more of a neighborhood vibe than an event space would. However, there are many places in the area that do allow events, and would love to host your group!

The best space will depend on what type of event you are hosting and how many people will be attending. There are some hosts who do allow small events at their property, but larger gatherings are better suited for a dedicated event space. Fortunately, there are lots of great event spaces in the area for you to choose from!

    Hello Alyce,

I just wanted to say, this site is amazing. We have already booked our cabin in Maine for this year’s vacation but wanted to let you know. We use VRBO a lot. Searching through all of the places that are available on the platform can be tiring.

I really like the fact I can come here and get a better description and narrow down the results to suit what I am looking for. I have bookmarked your site so I can come back for next year. I really like the ones on Lake Burton in Georgia!

I will be back to book through VRBO through your site!

    Thanks,

    Chad

Hi Chad, Thank you so much for sharing and bookmarking the site! I hope you have a wonderful vacation in Maine this year, and we’ll look forward to seeing you in Georgia on your next trip!

All of these Lake Burton properties are fabulous. That view from on top of the Treehouse property would be amazing and the interior of the Renovated Luxury Retreat is stunning.

We have done a couple house rentals with other families before and have loved it. Sharing a large house with friends is a great way to experience a luxurious stay at a more affordable price.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Leah, Those are both beautiful Lake Burton rental houses! We have both rented homes for family vacations and for getaways with friends. It’s wonderful to have everyone in one place and you definitely get a lot of value for the money!

Came back to your website as there is no better writer about Georgia than you. I have been looking into vacation opportunities in nature and Georgia is on my list to do. We have been thinking about visiting Lake Burton. Therefore North Georgia lake house rentals on Lake Burton are a great idea and a chance to enjoy nature!

I am caught by the renovated luxury retreat on lake Burton. Wow! Amazing! It looks incredible! It seems to be very cozy. How close to the actual lake?

These are gorgeous, but I have preference for the Renovated Luxury Retreat and the Burton Bass Lodge. I must say I love them all. At the back of my mind is the planning of my high school reunion. The last time we met, we had such a blast and many who regretted not having come are definitely on the list. I would choose one of those two because I know we will have most of our fun sitting around in that large assembly area for hours. We will be coming from the Caribbean, Canada, and several parts of the USA. Thank you for this introduction. I will be passing it on to our organising committee for discussion.

    • Alyce says:

      Hi JJ,

The Georgia mountains do seem to offer a central location for your group that is coming from the Caribbean, Canada, and all over the US. How perfect! Plus, having a large rental house on the lake allows more time for everyone to catch up during the day instead of just at the shorter reunion events. Enjoy!

Lakefront getaways are just what I need. One week by the river, and I am sure to be as good as new. What with COVID and all the laying off happening… it’s causing plain too much stress.

I loved the properties that you have spoken of. Hopefully sometime this year, I can gather family for a venture out to the lake.

Thank u for this nice suggestion.

    Regards,

    AB

I think we can all use a break from the unusual year that we have endured due to COVID shutdowns. A relaxing week in a Lake Burton lakehouse definitely offers a welcome change of pace!

  8. Abel says:

After looking at all these options, I think that the best option is the spacious waterfront rental houses at Lake Burton. I am more than thirty, LOL. And that condition is for safety reasons, I imagine. My family likes taking pictures. And I am sure they will love this waterfront.

    Thanks for this review.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Abel, I can’t speak to why those particular owners want their renters to be at least 30, but I’m glad that it doesn’t disqualify you from booking your vacation! There are definitely a lot of great places on the water for instagram-worthy vacation photos!

Hi and thanks for sharing these great places. It almost makes me regret our decision to get a dog just a few months ago. I spotted only two properties that allow pets. Also, being totally honest with myself, I am generally so disorganized that the whole notion of booking early has never been my strong suit, to put it mildly. It is a great pity, but we usually end up scrambling to get whatever we can late in the day. Probably the best chance I would have to stay in a place like this would be to save up enough money to buy one. Thanks for sharing these fabulous places. Andy

    • Alyce says:

Hello Andy! These lakehouse rentals can book up months in advance, so it does help to plan and book in advance. However, sometimes you can get lucky with a last-minute reservation when someone else needs to cancel their trip. However, saving money to buy a beautiful home on Lake Burton is also a wonderful choice! 🙂
