    Thank you for this article. It seems that Georgia’s mountains have it all. There is a huge range of interesting places to visit that are worth visiting. We are very interested in the history of the official local population who lived in the Georgias Mountains 1000 years ago. The Track Rock Gap, New Echota, and the gold museum are already on our list.

      Hi Monique, It’s easy to relax and enjoy time off in the Georgia mountains, but it can also be very interesting to learn more about the rich history of the local area too! I hope you enjoy your visit to the North Georgia historic sites!!

      It isn’t too terribly far from Cahokia either, it isn’t right next door but a day and a half drive depending. But there are sites that are suspected to be from the Mississippian Era throughout Georgia
