Although the next-door Allison’s Honey & Vineyard has been producing local honey for North Georgia for decades, the recent addition of the Tesnatee River Winery and Meadery gives visitors another way to enjoy locally crafted products.
Visit the tasting room at this boutique winery for their delicious farm-to-table wines, meads, honey, syrups, jams, jellies, and seasonal fruits. Browse the store for more artisanal products like 100% beeswax candles, natural lip balms, and soaps! Enjoy a glass, bottle, or tasting flight of Tesnatee River wines and meads, or enjoy one of the local beer selections.

On a recent visit in April, we were surprised to find “Winter Hours” posted – especially since our visit was during the Spring months. Tesnatee River Winery and Meadery’s website and social media state that they are open daily, but this is not accurate. Calling in advance and confirming hours before making a trip is a good idea.

Well, it has been absolutely brilliant reading up on all of this. Hopefully some time very soon i might actually be able to check some of it out in person. I think the combination of using honey and fruits from the same farm would be an interesting way to make adult beverages. They are making the fresh bread that they offer with tastings sound pretty good too!
