I am not lucky enough to own an electric vehicle yet, but even so, these cabins look awesome. Going there with a bunch of your closest friends must be a lot of fun.

I was surprised with all the amenities on offer that the prices are so good. If you take a bunch of friends and share the costs, you won’t end up paying much at all for your accommodation. I mean the first one sleeps 22.

It’s great to know that electric vehicles can be charged there, as I don’t think it will be fun getting stuck miles from anywhere with a flat battery.

Hi Michel, More people are switching to EVs every day, so it’s great to see so many places in North GA making it easy for EV drivers to travel with access to car chargers!

I enjoyed your article. Blue Ridge in North Georgia is just a two-hour drive from where I live. I didn’t know about Coosawattee River and it’s practically in my back yard. It is a pretty river and a summer destination for me.

Interesting about those Tesla hookups. All the modern conveniences. I think I would leave my Tesla at the house if I had one.

Copperhill on the Ocoee River is new to me also. I am glad I experienced the reading of your article. I have discovered a couple of nice places to visit this summer.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Lolita, Your close proximity to the area would make it easy to take day trips to North Georgia, or to extend your stay into multiple days and nights! I’m glad you’ve discovered some great locations to explore on your next trips!!

I’ve always wanted to visit the blue ridge mountains. Where possible I do like to consider my environmental impact when I travel, so like the thought of hiring an e-car and knowing I can easily charge. Do you know of any treehouse type of accommodation and any which also have e-car charging nearby? Thank you

    • Alyce says:

Hi Rivi, There are great treehouse rentals in the area from rustic to luxe, but as far as I know, they don’t include EV chargers. However, the managers of those treehouse rentals may be able to advise you on the closest places to charge an electric car during your stay. Enjoy!

Wow! If only I lived nearer! These log cabins look stunning ! I don’t currently have a EV chargeable car but I love the look of all these beautiful places to stay.

I love the fact that there are pet friendly places to stay, places for those who love golf ( my hubby would love these resorts ) and that you have given options to check availability within the B&B’s.

There are some stunning surroundings in North Georgia, far more than I’ve even seen here in the UK.

They look so modern, clean and up to date with their facilities and a truly beautiful place to stay if I ever get the chance.

    Thanks for sharing !

    Louise

Hi Louise, I love those beautiful log cabins with EV chargers — they are perfect rental cabins no matter what kind of car you happen to be driving!

It´s an amazing place! I´d love to spend my vacations there with my family. Actually, I´ve been checking the prices and I must admit I thought it would be much expensive! Cabins look so modern and nice! We will totally give a further check to the Friendly Log Cabin!!! Thanks again!

I personally prefer cars with combustion engines. But my wife is obsessed with Electric cars and wants to do a tip with me using some E-vehicle or something…

So I have been doing some research and to my surprise, it might be actually quite convenient.
I am gonna check the place you recommend and will do the itinerary.

Well, I am still not sure about me… but my wife will thank you 🙂

    • Alyce says:

Hi Michal, it’s thoughtful of you to indulge your wife and take a trip in an electric vehicle. Hopefully, you will both enjoy the quiet ride and the convenience of charging up overnight!

It has been difficult for me to find vacation houses that include EV charges in North Georgia. I found your review guide very helpful, now I can plan my vacation with family to North Georgia that offers EV chargers. I have bookmarked your website for easy access and shared with my followers.

    • Alyce says:

Hello Jannette, I’m so happy to hear that this has been helpful for planning a North Ga trip with electric cars! Thank you so much for sharing this resource too!! I hope you have an enjoyable time on your North Georgia vacation.

This is a great site for those who have electric cars. I personally have had reservations about buying one as I wouldn’t be comfortable traveling with one as you never know if where your going is going to have a charging area for your car. It’s nice to see a travel website that has that info and recommendations. Keep up the great work!

    • Alyce says:

I suspect that you are not alone in wondering where you can travel with an electric car! It’s great to see more EV charging stations added both in public spaces and at so many vacation rentals in North Ga.

  9. Randi says:

It is good to know there are so many places in this area with electric vehicle chargers. I have been considering an electric car for awhile but finding places to charge it is of course a concern. I live near a large city in Texas and just looking at your website is a great way to relax as I begin to envision myself already on vacation in beautiful North Georgia. If I had to choose just one of these options, I think I would stay in the Canoe Cruise rental cabin. I would have to bring plenty of people to fill up the 5 bedroom space, and while they did all kinds of fun things there I could just sit back and watch the river roll by!

    • Alyce says:

Hi Randi, Vacationing with your favorite people in a large, scenic cabin is a great way to enjoy your time off. Knowing that your EV can charge at the cabin during your downtime means you won’t need to make extra stops to “fuel” up during vacation time — allowing you to get the most out of precious vacation time! Enjoy!

I love that electric chargers for cars are becoming a “thing” in this country.  I can’t wait until it becomes more prevalent, as it is in Europe.  This would make it easier for more people to switch over!  Having said this, these cabins are all very beautiful and the cost for many (if you had the max number of people) would be less than $30 a night for many of them.  I think I’d have to choose the one Ocoee River, if only for the wrap-around. deck! It would make a fun weekend for me and 11 of my closest friends!

    • Alyce says:

Hi, Cynthia! It’s been exciting to see the interest in EVs grow over the past few years. The additional charging stations make it easier for EV owners to confidently travel to North Georgia.

The Ocoee River rental cabin is gorgeous and a perfect place to gather friends!

  11. Champ says:

All of these look like great places to relax and unwind. I always get anxious about the availability of chargers for my EV, so Its great that the amount of chargers are increasing. Also the costs for all of these lodges seems quite reasonable. I would to go some day. Thank you for sharing.

    • Alyce says:

Hello Champ! It’s been great to see more EVs in North Georgia and the growing availability of EV chargers. I’m glad to hear that you found some suitable lodging options for your next trip! Enjoy!!

  12. Ivan says:

Now, this is something special, connecting green and blue. Most of the similar places do not have EV charges, which I think is a mistake. First, many people nowadays drives EVs, the trend is definitely going up, and also people how to go on this type of vacation, rarely drive a diesel truck. This is a great idea – I didn’t know about these  North Georgia rentals with charging stations.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Ivan, Among my group of friends, the ownership of electric cars has gone up considerably in the past few years. It’s wonderful that now there are more places to vacation in North Georgia with electric car chargers! Very smart to align green tech with blue ridge, indeed! 🙂

  13. Leahrae says:

I don’t have an electric vehicle but these cabins all look great.  I was just looking at an article on distilleries in Georgia, and I am wondering if you know if any of these cabins happen to be near a distillery.  We are looking at visiting next fall, and staying at a cabin like these would be wonderful and just make our family vacation so much better.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Leahrae, Of the North Ga cabins with EV chargers, the closest options will be the Mountain Home on the Sky Valley Golf Course, located about 8 miles from The RM Rose Company Distillery in Dillard. However, if you don’t need to be in a place with an EV charger, then there are many more cabins to choose from in the Georgia mountains. Enjoy!

  14. Abel says:

Hey, there! We would love to stay near Blue Ridge. I am a fan of country life so, staying in a farmhouse cabin makes perfect sense. However, I was wondering if I could get my EV charged anywhere nearby. I am very glad to find this cozy lodging option to enjoy our mountain vacation.

    • Alyce says:

Blue Ridge has lots to offer and you are sure to enjoy the Farmhouse Cabin. Be sure to reserve the cabin early so that your preferred travel dates are available. I hope you have a great trip!

  15. Bob Roman says:

Thanks for the information about the best solutions for lodging with EV charges in North Georgia.

You are right it is an impressive list of lodges and cabins that offer charging stations.

I had an unforgettable drive through Blue Ridge Parkway few years back. I’ve rented ICE Ford Mustang back then.

Looking forward to my EV drive through Blue Ridge and to stay at some places you’ve mentioned here.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Bob, driving a sports car is a great way to travel the scenic, windy roads in North Georgia and the Appalachian mountains. Hopefully having more EV charging stations like these will encourage more people to hit these scenic roads in electric cars!
