This is an excellent site for those in the area who already know the reasons that they want to come to this area for. By the looks of things this area is beautiful and your site will be excellent for me to book a place to come and to stay. The pictures add very much to the charm. I am considering visiting this area for the first time and to book a convention site but I need to convince others that this area offers special value or activities. What types of activates or interests does this area offer that can not be found in other areas? Would you be able to answer the following questions in an interesting article on this site? Are there hot springs? Waterfalls? Unique animals or fauna? What other interests would draw me to your state? I am looking for unique experiences and would like to book a convention of 400 people to to a stimulating spot and I am more concerned about pleasing my delegates and in making sure this experience will be magical. As covid restrictions are removed for travel I will be making a choice and booking many rooms. Why do I chose this state and area?

Hello Toplink and thank you for considering North Georgia for your next convention!

Depending on the time of year you visit and the sense of adventure of your group, there are lots of great reasons to choose North Ga.

Warmer weather is perfect for outdoor adventures including river floats, river rafting, ziplining, and unique adventures like driving a tank! The beginning of the world-famous Appalachian Trail is in North Georgia and includes some great spots to try a section hike.

The fall brings stunning colors, harvest festivals, and the longest-running Oktoberfest celebration in the country.

Any time of year is perfect for exploring the unique history of the area including the first gold rush in the US (it’s even more fun when combined with a trip to a local mine attraction to try panning for gold!) and the dozens of local mountain vineyards and wineries.

Finally, you will likely find that there are affordable convention options that make North Ga a smart financial decision as well!

I love nature and I love luxury. That defines me for sure. Now, looking to the Chateau Elan Winery, I’m just like: wow. It is so beautiful and it takes my breath away!

Combine this with the nature of the mountains and this is a perfect spot for a week or week-end away.

I’m going to show it to my wife, and hopefully she agrees with me!

    • Alyce says:

Hello Emmanuel, Chateau Elan is a great place to enjoy all the best resort amenities and sample award-winning local wines. It’s perfect for a couples getaway!

    Hi. Thanks for this article.

I know a lot of friends who are interested in visiting Georgia Mountains. I am going to send them this article to look further into it and get tips from it for their trip.

I’m glad that you get to offer phone numbers, ratings, locations etc. It must have been a lot of research to write this. Amazing!

    • Alyce says:

Hi Dominique, Thanks so much for sharing. I am lucky to be “working” on promoting an area I love and want to share with the world — it’s actually fun to collect all the details and visiting resorts for research is definitely a big perk! 🙂

So many beautiful places to stay. I’ve only stayed in southern Georgia on the coast but I would love to check out the north because of the Appalachia mountains. I’m more of a forest/mountain woman rather than a beach person. I’ve always wanted to hike that trail. I could probably spend hours just taking photos and being with the forest.

Staying at a cabin in Forest Hills Mountain Resort may actually be in the cards! Thanks for laying out these options.

This looks gorgeous. I’m a photographer for a travel blog and am always looking for unique places for road trippers to visit that hasn’t been over-marketed or trending on Instagram. I want to bring people places they may not have heard of before. This looks like an ideal location for Dashboard Destinations to visit next.

    • Alyce says:

Hi DashDNations, The scenic Georgia mountains are definitely photogenic. It’s beautiful here all year, but it’s extra special during the spring and fall when nature’s colors burst from everywhere! Be sure to take some of the scenic drives to find some of the most beautiful spaces.
