Wow!! What fabulous scenery the Georgia Mountains offers and how fantastic to have so many decent restaurants in the area. I love the idea of boating to a restaurant. To eat and drink in style whilst on a fantastic summer break. And to have the musical entertainment also. What a treat.

Hello Mike! I certainly agree — the times I’ve been able to enjoy a boat ride on the way to dinner have made the meal and the night even more special.

One of my favourite settings for a meal out, is next to water, with watching the ocean as my top one for feeling spoilt. I’ve never been to the Georgia mountains, and you have presented us with numerous exciting options. Having a table above the water would be my first choice here, and having a walk next to the water afterwards, would complete the outing for me in the best possible way.

Wow! Amazing! Just so amazing. Getting to partake in a waterfront dining is really nice, as one gets to enjoy the breathtaking view of the water and the creatures in it as he or she enjoys their meal. This is something to add to a to-do list when on holidays, and the Georgia Mountains seems to be a great place for such experience. They have over 10 different waterfront restaurants at different locations. Very nice. Thanks for sharing this exciting information with us. It was fun reading this article.

i’m a lover of nature and so many times I have loved to just sit and watch the wonders of nature (looking at the trees and water) while enjoying the breeze. These wonderful waterfront restaurants make me really excited — they seem like exactly what I was looking for to enjoy a fantastic meal in a gorgeous natural view. I agree that it’s so very nice to enjoy these amazing places. The weather is perfect right now and the Autumn leaves are getting more beautiful every day. Make sure to make reservations (where possible) as the mountains have their peak visitor traffic during this time and the waterfront restaurants will reach capacity quickly!

Is is good to have easy access to information about making reservations and finding the waterfront restaurants that are closest to us. Do you have a favorite place that you go to a lot?

Hi, I haven’t been able to pick a favorite waterfront restaurant, but I do enjoy listening to the sound of water rushing by… for that reason it can be very nice to dine at a riverfront restaurant.

The Georgia mountains are a very serene place that have a lot more than what people expect. I really like the place and how beautiful and awesome the relaxed pace of life is there. Seeing this here now too has given me a lot of great ideas of places to explore when there to visit my Hubby’s mom. Kudos!

Hello there, I’ve been thinking of going to the Georgia mountains for a while now, but figured we would be staying in a cabin and preparing all of our own meals. It’s nice to see all of these options for waterfront (and outdoor) restaurants to provide a change of pace and some gourmet dining options. Thanks for sharing this list. The map is very helpful too as we plan to explore as much as we can of the North Georgia area, and it will be helpful to look on the map to see if we are nearby any waterfront restaurants!

      Hi Justin,

I’m so glad to hear that you have found this article on waterfront restaurants in the Georgia mountains to be useful. Some of these restaurants are a bit off of the beaten path, so the map should be helpful for those days when you want to stop for a bite to eat on your way to (or from) somewhere else.

Who would have knew the Appalachian mountains had such wonderful sights and places to dine. Your lay out of the various places a person can go to for enjoyment was good. I especially like that you added the map of the places in a real time manner. How were you able to incorporate that feature?

    • Alyce says:

Hi Mahasin1, I’m happy to hear that you have found the map feature to be useful. I am able to acheive these custom maps using a wordpress plugin called Hero Maps.
