There are so many nice restaurants out there that you don’t really know which one to choose for next. Looking at your list I find myself liking everything so much that it’s hard to decide! I love nature and there is no better place to have something to eat than next to a river with nice nature engulfing you to up the appetite. List bookmarked!

    Hi

First of all, I would say your great title “Waterfront Dining in the Georgia Mountains” attracted me. The title itself made me to imagine enjoying the food there. As I went through your description and images, I felt as if I really visited each and every restaurant there. Such a lovely walk-through it was. You write really well. Hope to visit other posts too.

    Hi Alyce,

I’ve grown fond of coming back to your website because of the guideposts you share here. I especially love how thorough and in-depth your research goes to come up with these articles. I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t love some scenic water and mountain views while dining when in the Georgia Mountains. I’ve not been to the Mountains in Georgia, but when I visit I’ll be sure to try out some of your recommendations. This very helpful.

    Thanks for sharing.

I wish I could see your pictures but they’re not showing up.  Aside from that, I love local restaurants and especially ones that have a scenic, waterfront view.  And, to be honest, you had me a The Troll Tavern. A restaurant located under a bridge serving Roast Beast and Billy Goat Burgers?  I think this rates a special trip to Georgia!!

    • Alyce says:

Hi Cynthia, I’m so sorry to hear that you can’t see the photos (try refreshing your page, as things look good from this end). These restaurants provide very different views and experiences, from the lively riverfronts to the relaxed fine dining at Lake Chatuge. The Troll Tavern is a great place to enjoy a summer drink while people float by in the river on small rafts. Enjoy!

Hi Alyce. Thank you for another great post. Every time Im visiting your blog I want to visit Georgia Mountains more and more. In addition to beautiful nature and super interesting museums it seems that another reason for trip is great food in stunning places. I love El Cancun view and I hope I will be able to visit it soon.

    • Alyce says:

Hi Cogito, Thanks so much! There are definitely lots of places to actively explore in North Georgia, but it’s also nice to be able to sit back and enjoy an easy waterfront view with your meal.

This is a nice article! I have never been to any of these places, but I wouldn’t mind going to all of them actually.

I think that all of theses places are worth a visit. I appreciate you giving the directions and location. I find your map and satellite features to be very effective and simple.

One thing I love about your site in general is how concise it is. For example, you are all about high-quality, buzz worthy restaurants to dine at in the Georgia Mountains. Overall, this is a wonderful amazing guide that anyone could find handy!

Wow. What an exciting list of restaurants. The best thing about them is the location which allows you to check them out one by one when you are on vacation in the area. I find the whole idea of boating to a restaurant for dinner very romantic. I like most of them my preferences being the marinas, and the Cafe International. Thank you for this review. It is worth checking out for planning my group vacations.

Hi JJ, I’m happy to hear that you found some waterfront restaurants that you’d like to visit! Bon appetit!
