Wow, I didn’t even know there are so many vineyards in Georgia. I just always think about the California vineyards, when it comes to vineyards in United States.

Frogtown Cellars seems like a lovely place with the koi pond and all. The food menus made me instantly hungry, and a glass of red wine would be really nice.

Hi Kirsti, California definitely helped to pave the way for US vineyards and wineries to thrive. Fortunately for us here on the East coast, we no longer have to travel so far to get amazing wines served with gorgeous views!

      Cheers, Alyce

There is a great deal of factual information that is of great interest to potential visitors. The photographs back up what is said about the area. It is indeed a beautiful place and would be the envy of any bride that had not had their wedding there.

The addition of price lists to me adds to the experience. Anyone can see what they should be expecting when they visit.

Hi Derek, I’m glad to hear that you found the information helpful in planning your visit to the area. The price lists are accurate when they are shared, but the vineyard is solely in charge of selling / pricing, so it is subject to change at anytime. You can always call the vineyard to inquire about current availability and pricing… they are happy to help!

      Cheers, Alyce

Wow, this is an impressive winery. I am not sure where it is located in Georgia. I am going to look up the Dahlonega Plateau to learn more about it.

I am a self-taught wine connoisseur. My favorite is chardonnay, but I tend to like the California wines. We are moving to Florida soon, and when we get there, I am going to try the citizens wine club. I love wine clubs so I can try new and different wines.

The award they received for the most awarded winery in America is impressive, and the view is incredible.

Hi Laura, All of the vineyards featured on the website are located in North Georgia, in the Appalachian mountains. Here is a handy map to get a visual of the number of vineyards and wineries that are located in the region.

The nearby town of Dahlonega is a very charming town and home to a rich history including the country’s first gold rush. The Dahlonega Plateau is one of the newest regions to receive an AVA designation, and a great area to spend a day or two exploring.

Frogtown is definitely a favorite vineyard of mine – they also do many “East West” collaborations where they combine Georgia grapes with California grapes to get some amazing blends!

      Cheers, Alyce

I’ve always loved the country side and this venue looks more like my style of a get away holiday. It’s nice to go to a place like this that has an open field. Great for clearing the mind while sipping from your wine glass looking at the view.

Thank you for the article. I’ll definitely be saving this for later. All the best,

    Aabidah

Hi Aabidah, One of the great things about Frogtown is the beautiful spaces they have created to enjoy the wines and the scenery. They have an open deck if you are a person who wants to be in the full sun (maybe not ideal in early July…). There is also plenty of seating on their covered decks to enjoy your wines without getting too hot. Enjoy!  ~Alyce

    Hey

Awesome review of the winery. I see it has won some awards too and a winery spread over 44acres, man! that’s something. I wish there was some more information about the wine too but then, good job there. I might pay them a visit myself some time. My grandma is a huge wine fan, she will be filled with joy for sure if I take her. Thanks for posting

Hi, I just took my parents there yesterday and they both loved it. You have a choice of a few different flights of those award winning wines to test out, but even better… as a wine club “citizen”, there is an expanded tasting menu of wines to sample! The red wines are my favorite, but they also have great white wines and roses as well.

      Cheers!

I have heard of Frogtown Cellars but never have I had the chance to read about them and what they have to offer. Your article has given me an up-close look at what they have to offer and it is a beautiful place and one that I have added to my bucket list for the USA portion of my travels.

They have turned the winery operations into a full-blown tourist stop and high-end desirable location for weddings and other social events too. I like that, as they are leveraging all the beauty and potential that such an operation offers. I have been to many places in Europe that have done the same, and it is lovely.

They have built an entire entertainment center of a different sort around their winery and I have to say the more I read the more I liked what they have to offer. There is no doubt that I will stop in there and now I have a good idea on the hours and what to expect when I do get there thanks to this excellent article. Thanks!

Hi Dave, I do hope you get to check it out — it’s a lovely stop and has some amazing wines to sample! Cheers!
