Thank you for the insightful compilation of this beautiful vineyard wineries . It really makes it very hard for one to make a choice. But if I have to choose I will go with the big ridge tree house . The serenity that comes with being surrounded by those trees is truly priceless.  Would also like to try the Rustic cabin. Thanks again .

Hi Bogadi, I agree that any of these vineyards make a fantastic destination choice! Your favorites of the Blue Ridge Treehouse and the Rustic Cabin are probably the most unique choices — you can’t find unique places like these just anywhere and they would make for a very memorable vacation destination.

So happy to have come across your post. This comes at the right time actually, just as the weather is getting better and we are approaching summertime. I live in Canada and every year I plan to do a cottage trip with either my friends or family and this post really gives me the push to do so more.

I am amazed to see so many options available in Georgia and would love to visit sometime! However, I was just wondering if these awesome places you have listed also have free wi-fi available?

Hi Sasha, Most rental homes that I find do offer wifi as a standard amenity, but it’s always smart to double-check with the location to make sure before you book your reservation.

I live in Canada and I have to admit that I have thought of visiting many place in the United States. But never in Georgia. No doubt, your article is opening my eyes. I love the Blue Ridge Treehouse.  What the beautiful place. I’m thinking about organizing a trip with my friends, so we can enjoy that great view near the water. Thanks for your beautiful post, Alyce.

Thanks for sharing. Wow really nice cottages. I really like the Elohi cottage. Its huge and perfect for a big family. I also liked that it’s isolated perfect from any noice and disturbances.

Have you visited one of these cottages before? When spending the night there or a weekend are there any other activities families can do?

We are planning a family trip in the near future, hopefully everything goes back to normal.

Hello! I have stayed at one of the North Georgia vineyards and it was a wonderful experience. There are wine tastings, wine tours, and restaurants at many of these vineyards. Just beyond the vineyards, you can explore all kinds of family fun too!

I’m working on plans for a group (24-26) trip that would feature gardens in Georgia. I’d love to include a night in this wine area. Would you suggest staying in Dahlonega or another town? Are there any gardens I should look at to include? I figure we will move on to Athens and the Botanical Gardens there. Also, would you happen to know of any tour agent in Georgia who specializes in this type of tour, I’d love to talk to them. Thank you!

What a delightful reminder of our last trip abroad when we went to Tuscany. I guess it never occurred to me that we might be able to have a similar experience here in the US. I am guessing though that since air travel has been difficult during the pandemic demand for these places must be through the roof. I was very inspired by the Treehouse and I see that the same company has other treehouses in Georgia for rent as well. I will never forget the experience when I visited the US for the second time when I was still living in Europe on a trip with a group of work colleagues. We were invited to dine with the owners of a vineyard in California. It was a delightful and unique experience. Best regards, Andy

Hi Andy, you would probably love staying on-site at Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega. There are entire villas for rent (social distance is naturally built-in!) and the Montauce Restaurant Dahlonega GA offers reservations for their top-floor Tuscany Room that includes the best views at the mountain vineyard.

Hello there! I have not really thought about visiting wineries before, but these Georgia winery hotels and cabins seem like a great place to relax and enjoy life. What better place than a location with nice scenery and away from the busy, stressful city life though! The images you provided look really nice and it doesn’t seem too expensive. Perhaps when this COVID-19 is calmed down a bit more, I may check these places out someday. Thanks for this!

    • Alyce says:

Hi Mike, The North Georgia wineries lodging in the mountains is about as scenic and as relaxing as you can get! Thanks for checking out these great Georgia mountain vineyards!

You had me at hot tub XD

It’s also a lot cheaper then I imagined it would be. A winery is probably a great place to unwind, it sounds so peaceful. Wood burning fireplaces, mountain views, money off for returning guests. Does any body else hear ‘Writers Retreat’? These sound like some of the perfect places to finish that book.

    • Alyce says:

Kelly, that sounds like a perfect place for a writers retreat or getaway trip! These vineyards are a lot of fun to visit and it’s so much better to be able to stay overnight!!
